In just a few sessions with a Sleep Medicine Specialist, you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn to control or eliminate thoughts and worries that keep you awake.<\/li>\n<li>Develop good habits that contribute to better sleep.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unlike sleeping pills, CBT-I helps you overcome the underlying causes of your sleep problems. Try these strategies to get all the sleep you need.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Avoid large meals and\/or alcohol before bed.<\/li>\n<li>Be physically active during the day, outside if possible.<\/li>\n<li>Cut back on caffeine, including coffee, sodas, and chocolate.<\/li>\n<li>Go to bed and get up at the same time each day, including weekends.<\/li>\n<li>Turn off screens (phones, tablets, TVs, etc.) 30 minutes before bed.<\/li>\n<li>Turn your bedroom into a dark, quiet, cool sanctuary.<\/li>\n<li>Unwind with soothing music, a good book or meditation.<\/li>\n<li>Use sleep medication sparingly and only for a short time.<\/li>\n<li>Quit smoking.
